Clark leading early. That bad pavement of prior years was nicely repaired
with fresh blacktop, which, unfortunately, was also slick in the heat of
the day.
Dr.
Clark, out front, slid out on that corner, losing lots of skin and
horrifying his family who were posted at the site. That led to his
dropping out early, leaving Thourot on his own.
