43-Lap Criterium at Bowling Green

This race was scheduled for 28 laps, about 45 km. Race Director Will McLaughlin ran it for 43 laps, it being too nice a night to waste. The wind spread things out nicely after awhile, leaving Hague, Komives, Ray, Garland and McKee way off the front and holding. Midway, House and Clark worked together to bridge the 1:15 gap, then House retired, having a heavy racing weekend ahead of him. 

There is only one actual corner on this course, but it has been tough to negotiate every time. It ate Jean Duet at this race when he made a wide turn. Master Steve Clark finished first, followed by Senior Andy Hague and Vet Dave Komives. Dinner and war stories at El Vaquero.
