Race at OOIP
Small
crowd, big fun tonight. Perfect summer evening (maybe a little warm and
humid for the guys who were working hard). The 28-lap points race looked like a
short event beforehand, but everyone seemed to think they had had enough workout
by the final sprint. Senior Mike House (first) brought teammate Mike Busa
to keep Matt Thourot in check. Master Jeff Crawford was 5th and Vet Dave
Komives 10th. Junior Andy Pauken was 12th.
After
the race Julie and Charlie Westerink hosted a pizza & pool party at their
place nearby. Mark Hovsepian brought along a turducken
he had shipped up from New Orleans. Great evening!
