Road Race at Scotch
Ridge
When
the lights went out at 4:15 club race director of-the-week Gerry Davis figured
folks would have trouble getting out of Toledo to the 6:30 race. In conference
with Race Director Matt Thourot they decided to call it off since no one would
get to Scotch Ridge in time. Well, apparently the only folks who were bothered
were Davis and Thourot. It takes something REALLY major to keep bikies away from
a race! Everyone, riders and workers, (except Thourot, of course) got to Scotch
Ridge in plenty of time. (Apparently no-one but Matt heard of any cancellation.)

riders set out on the sweltering blacktop on time. Triple threat Mike House
flatted out but sidekick Senior Jonas Root took his place at first; Master Jim
Regan was third; Vet Dave Komives was fourth; Junior Corey Brinkman was 8th (!);
for the women Jamie Galambos and Rachel Steele came in 1,2.
The
usual 18 or so celebrated at El Vaquero’s in Perrysburg after the race. The
lights were back on.
