The
fact that he was freshly on the injured list didn't keep Dr. Wright from showing
up to direct the evening's fun. There was an 8-lap criterium, a win-n-out and a
Belgian (or Bavarian) reverse win-n-out. That last one is the same race staged
at the August 21st "Surprise Race"; it was a backwards win-n-out; for each of the first 10 laps leading riders were pulled and scored
as places 10,9,8 … 1, and the winner of the following field sprint was
#11.
