Woodville

It was another beautiful night for a race, a rather balmy 70 degrees with thunderheads rolling off in the distance. New megaphone in hand, Scott Maine was sure to spell out the rules of the road to all of the riders. Winds were a little heavy causing early gaps to form, especially as we tried to stay right of center. There was a lot of energy in the group and by the third lap I was sure I heard the hiss of my fuse getting ready to POP! Then half way into the third lap I look over and there is Dave Teall as fresh as a Daisy. I thought he got there late and jumped in...he was there the whole time! My apologies Dave, I don't see very well when I'm near unconsciousness! The finish sprint was long enough to catch a few riders off guard, sprinting for some locals out for a walk! Imagine looking up to see the finish line vehicle another 300 yards up the road….so I simply sat up. Have a safe weekend. If you are racing, stay upright and do us proud!
