30-lap Criterium at Bowling Green

It seems as though the wind always blows straight in from endless prairies and across the Bowling Green crit course. Workers and spectators appreciated the breeze, which eased the oppressive heat and humidity, but only made for more effort from the riders. Dave Komives went off the front for the first few laps, just long enough to excite the chase group to notch up their effort. Master Steve Clark (first place) and Vet Jim Regan (second)  rode off the front for the rest of the race, eventually lapping the big second chase group. Senior Adam Slough was fourth, Junior Chris Brinkman eighth and Buckeye Gary Tarsha ninth.
