The race was called at 6:02 pm under a tornado watch with rain accompanied by
thunder and lightning. Mark Armstrong, director, Brian Rex, Pio Apostoli,
Jeff Warner, Josh and Steve Burkhart and Jen Mitchel were on hand to put on this
4 lap race if the weather had cooperated. A handful of brave souls made
the trek down to Pemberville just in case an opening in the weather occurred but
such was not the case. Even with the race cancelled a moderate crowd
gathered at El Vaqueros to celebrate the beginning of a new Wheelmen race
season!
