Not many were inclined to attend this race as the overcast skies threatened
to rain and the SW wind was blowing. Rain it did, off and on but at
least it the temperature was mild. Ricky Hummel took off from
the start and broke up the field. The lead pack consisted of Hummel,
Clark, Rex, Crawford, Gwin & Chris Brinkman. We considered shortening
the race from 4 to 3 laps at one point, but the riders seemed to be having
so much fun we didn't want to deprive them of their workout. After a
few laps Brinkman fell off. Hummel took the final sprint
followed closely by Crawford & Clark.
