Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Black-owned small businesses have been some of the hardest hit. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, between February and April 2020, the number of active Black-owned businesses declined by 41%. Many companies and brands are endeavoring to help these businesses succeed through monetary investment or other means—and many are getting creative. From the Comcast RISE program which provides marketing and technology resources to business owners, to The Center of Black Innovation which fosters innovation in diverse communities, necessary resources are being made available to help our communities survive and thrive.
